Background and Objective: Extra-role behaviors play a special role in achieving organizational goals, individual and social health, therefore they are considered one of the most important and common topics to be examined and researched in organizational studies. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the antecedents and consequences of extra-role behaviors of employees.
Methodology: The research method was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population included all employees of the Kerman provincial executive system in 1403, of which 728 people were selected using stratified sampling. The data collection tool included a 248-question researcher-made questionnaire with a validity of 0.756 and a reliability of 0.96. Structural equation modeling and SPSS and AMOS software were used to analyze the data.
Findings: The findings showed that the model of antecedents and consequences of extra-role behaviors of employees of the Kerman provincial executive system has an acceptable fit.
Conclusion: Based on the research results, individual characteristics, organizational characteristics, job conditions, support, and reward as causal conditions have a significant impact on strategies for implementing extra-role behaviors with the components of spirituality, support, information systems deployment, performance evaluation, training, flexibility, and goal setting. Implementing extra-role behaviors has general, organizational, and individual consequences. Considering the research results, the presented model for employees' extra-role behaviors is a comprehensive model that can be used to take positive steps in the strategy for implementing extra-role behaviors by employees.
