Abstract

Autoethnography is an emerging approach in ethnography which falls under the qualitative methodology and interpretive paradigm. Although this approach has been used in various fields of study in recent years and is expanding to other disciplines, it has been very limited in urban studies. Today's cities are diverse subcultures mosaic of which researchers in this field can use to understand the deep layers through their lived experience. This study mainly aims to describe the major features of this approach and subsequently to link it with the field of urban studies to culturally understand the urban contexts. Accordingly, to understand the philosophical, epistemological and methodological principles of auto ethnography library research and documentary analysis has been used and for the application of auto ethnography in urban studies a field study has been conducted and urban auto ethnography is then explained at the intersection of four main turn ("cultural" turn, "narrative" turn, "spatial" turn and "auto" turn). Cultural diversity in Iranian cities and the need for a deep and indigenous understanding of its inherent characteristics among actors who experience it directly adds further importance to the application of urban autoethnography in research in this area.

Abstract

The present study is an attempt to describe the Islamic reformist discourse in the post-Islamic Revolution: The Main Characters who are the producers of this discourse and were selected for this study in clnde: Seyyed Mohammad Khatami, Seyyed Mohammad Mousavi Bojnordi and Seyyed Mohammad Mousavi Khomeini. The main questions of the present study are: 1- Who are the producers of this discourse 2- Why do they speak? 3- What do they speak about? 4- How do they speak? 5- Who are the addressees? and 6-What action do they propose? The methodology adopted for this research is qualitative discourse analysis. Sampling is the kind of judgments concerning the main producers and speeches, besides the other people. In each of the following research questions, we referred to the works of thinkers emphasizing on these important issues; discussion of civil society, constitution, religious government. Discourse of Islamic reformism provides us with some insight regarding the nature of "religious discourse" in the today Iran: the discourses mentioned, despite their differences in method, are preoccupied with a single issue in their approach to the religion and modern world. Evaluation of the methods used by the argued discourses shows, in spite of some differences with other discourses, they enjoy a common viewpoint in referring to religious texts and in using "traditional approach".

Abstract

Aims: The studies on measuring the quality of public space in Iran and the world literature show a kind of standardization in the use of quality measurement criteria. While the concept of the quality of public space could be perceived differently, concerning space type and the political-economic-social background of the formation and evolution of public space can provide a different understanding. It seems that in assessing the quality of public space, the focus is mostly on quantitative and statistical methods, and understanding the nature of space has not played a significant role in measuring quality. This research provides a new path to measuring the quality of public space based on a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods.
Methods: Haft-Hoz square has been selected as the research study to validate the proposed process. The combination of content analysis, historical-interpretative method, in-depth interviews and compilation of oral memories, behavioral analysis, and correlation analysis have been used in this research.
Findings: This research presents a new methodology based on seven steps, including:identifying quality criteria based on international literature, identifying quality criteria tested Iranian literature on public spaces, combining the criteria of the first and second steps, and validating the possibility of evaluating the selected criteria based on field study,a historical-interpretative study of the transformation of the form of public space in different historical periods, conducting behavioral studies based on Jan Gol's method, conducting in-depth interviews with users who have a long history of using the space to extract oral memories and identify the most critical space quality measures over time and quantitative analysis reveals the correlations of quality measures.
Conclusion: Providing a comprehensive methodology in evaluating the quality of urban public spaces is the most important result of this research.

Abstract

Intimacy in the organization, as a relationship or relationship through sharing work demands with others, can solve or prevent many problems. The purpose of this research was to identify the factors that promote organizational intimacy in telework conditions. The direction of the current research is developmental and its methodology is qualitative. The research approach in this study was content analysis and the unit of analysis was word and theme. Using this approach in content analysis, which was focused on words, analysis, description, description and interpretation of supporting theories and empirical texts, data were collected. Also, in this section, the research community was composed of university experts, who used the chain sampling method in the 15th interview to achieve theoretical saturation. Based on the combination of the analysis model of Sandelowski and Baros (2007) and Brown and Clark (2006), the main categories and factors of the research were identified. To evaluate the adequacy of content analysis, theoretical validity was used with the approach of receiving experts' opinions and Cohen's kappa coefficient. By reviewing and confirming the participating members in the validation process and estimating the coefficient of 0.91, the research findings had the necessary reliability and trustworthiness. According to the research findings and network model, three inclusive categories and forty one basic factors are the factors of promoting organizational intimacy. The results showed that behavioral, structural and environmental capabilities in the organization are effective in promoting organizational intimacy in remote working conditions.
